How many microgreens can one box provide?
If you use microgreens as garnishes of your dishes, we recommend at least 1 box per person a month. If you use microgreens as the main ingredients in salad/ smoothies, we recommend at least 2 boxes or more per person.
How long does it take for microgreens to grow?
In about 7-14 days!
When should I finish harvesting the microgreens?
It is recommended to finish harvesting all the microgreens within 30 days from sowing.
Do microgreens need light to grow?
Once the seeds have sprouted, it is recommended to expose microgreens to light for 4-8 hours a day for growing healthier microgreens. Check out our LED grow light if you are growing microgreens indoor.
Do I need to add water to the box again?
Usually you do not have to add water within 15 days. However, you may need to add water again during hot summer days or you are taking longer to harvest the greens.
How to harvest microgreens?
Cut the greens at soil level with scissors.
Do microgreens regrow after cutting?
Not all types of microgreens regrow after harvesting but Pea shoots can regrow after harvesting. However, we recommend growing a new batch of microgreens after harvesting as risk of fungus growing will increase when they are cut.
Will there be mold if I grow microgreens at home?
The wicks come with the box that used to water the plant reduce the chance of having mold as it prevent the soil from being too damp. But we definitely recommend you to put the plant in an area with good ventilation.
